privacy policy

  1. General Information. The service performs the function of obtaining information about users and their behavior in the following ways:
  • By voluntarily entered information in forms.
  • By storing cookies (so-called “cookies”) in end-user devices.
  • By collecting web server logs by the hosting operator.
  1. Information in forms. The service collects information voluntarily provided by the user. The service may also save information about connection parameters (time stamp, IP address). Data in the form is not shared with third parties other than with the user’s consent. The data provided in the form may constitute a set of potential customers, registered by the Service Operator in the register maintained by the General Inspector for Personal Data Protection. Data provided in the form are processed for the purpose resulting from the function of a specific form, for example, to process a service request or commercial contact. Data provided in forms may be passed on to entities technically implementing certain services – in particular, this refers to the transfer of information about the registered domain holder to entities that are operators of internet domains (mainly the Research and Academic Computer Network – NASK), payment services, or other entities with whom the Service Operator cooperates in this regard.

  2. Information about cookies. The service uses cookies. Cookies (so-called “cookies”) are IT data, in particular, text files, that are stored in the end-user device of the Service and are intended for use on the Service’s websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the storage time on the end device, and a unique number. The entity placing cookies on the end-user device of the Service and accessing them is the Service operator. Cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • creating statistics that help understand how Service Users use websites, which allows improving their structure and content;
  • maintaining the Service User’s session (after logging in), so that the User does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of the Service;
  • determining the user’s profile in order to display matched materials in advertising networks, in particular the Google network. The Service uses two main types of cookies: “session” (session cookies) and “permanent” (persistent cookies). “Session” cookies are temporary files that are stored in the User’s end device until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser). “Permanent” cookies are stored in the User’s end device for the time specified in the cookies’ parameters or until they are deleted by the User. Web browsing software (web browser) usually by default allows the storage of cookies in the User’s end device. Service Users can change these settings. The web browser allows you to delete cookies. It is also possible to automatically block cookies. Detailed information on this subject can be found in the help or documentation of the web browser. Restrictions on the use of cookies can affect some of the functionalities available on the Service’s websites. Cookies placed in the Service User’s end device may also be used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Service operator. We recommend reading the privacy policies of these companies to understand the rules of using cookies used in statistics: Google Analytics Privacy Policy.

Cookies can be used by advertising networks, especially the Google network, to display ads tailored to the way the user uses the Service. For this purpose, they can keep information about the user’s navigation path or the time spent on a given page. In terms of information about user preferences collected by the Google advertising network, the user can view and edit information derived from cookies using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/.

  1. Server logs. Information about some user behaviors is subject to logging in at the server level. These data are used exclusively to administer the service and to ensure the most efficient service of the hosting services provided. The browsed resources are identified by URL addresses. In addition, the record may include:
  • the time of arrival of the request,
  • the time of sending the response,
  • the client station’s name – identification carried out by the HTTP protocol,
  • information about errors that occurred during the HTTP transaction,
  • the URL of the page previously visited by the user (referer link) – in the case when the transition to the Service was made by a link,
  • information about the user’s browser,
  • Information about the IP address. The above data is not associated with specific people browsing the pages. The above data is used only for server administration purposes.
  1. Providing data. Data is made available to external entities only within legally permitted limits. Data that enables the identification of a physical person is shared only with the consent of that person. The operator may be required to provide information collected by the Service to authorized bodies based on lawful requests to the extent resulting from the request.

  2. Managing cookies – how to express and withdraw consent in practice? If the user does not want to receive cookies, they can change the browser settings. We reserve that disabling the handling of cookies necessary for authentication processes, security, maintaining user preferences may hinder, and in extreme cases, prevent the use of www websites
